Testimonial

I had been to several consultations with other cosmetic surgery companies and had felt like I was being pushed into making a decision about surgery there and then. It was refreshing to find Landauer helpful, friendly and informative with none of the pushiness. I chose them for my breast enlargement surgery in Newcastle Upon Tyne and would like to thank them for my new, fantastic look.

Miss K from Jesmond.

Cosmetic Nose Surgery.

nose surgery

Nose surgery, also known as rhinoplasty, is a procedure that aims to improve the appearance of the nose, achieving better facial harmony for both men and women.

There are a variety of problems that can be remedied through nose surgery. For example, some people choose to undergo cosmetic nose surgery to reduce a prominent lump or to narrow a particularly wide nose. Similarly, nose surgery is used to correct the nose if it is bent to one side or there is a breathing obstruction because the septum, the internal bone of the nose, is deviated.

In nose surgery, it is common for all parts of the nose to need adjustment following the alteration of any section - meaning all issues can be corrected with just one procedure.

Nose surgery and recovery

The progression of modern surgical techniques has meant that rhinoplasties now only last for around one hour. During the procedure, incisions are made from the inside of the nose, meaning that no scars are visible afterwards.

Following nose surgery, it is normal for swelling and bruising around the eyes to occur, but this usually clears after 5 to 6 days. To minimise this type of bruising, your surgeon will administer an injection to the tissues to prevent them from doing so.

Nose surgery patients will have a small splint placed on the nose after surgery, which will be removed after seven days. After removal, the patient may notice some swelling, but this is minimal and not obvious to the casual observer. The skin of the nose will shrink to fit the nose's new shape during the recovery period.

For two weeks following nose surgery, patients may experience nasal stuffiness, as well as a diminished sense of smell. Both of these conditions are temporary and will disappear during recovery.

Consultation with the Surgeon

If you are happy to proceed we will arrange a consultation with your chosen surgeon at the nearest hospital to where you live to discuss your requirements and make any necessary medical checks. There is a fee for this consultation because your meeting is with the surgeon himself and not a sales person, nurse or patient advisor.
