Top 3 Reasons Why Cosmetic Surgery May Be Beneficial To You
November 7th, 2011
Let’s face it. Everyone wants a slim figure for different reasons like health, aesthetics and vanity. But only a handful will actually act to make it happen. Fortunately, modern technological innovation in medicine and plastic surgery enables people to achieve an amazing body without rigid diet and exercise. If you can somehow relate, read on below the top 3 reasons why cosmetic plastic surgery may be beneficial to you:
Speedy and Easy – It’s true that proper diet and regular exercise is a very effective combination to gain a gorgeous physique. Unfortunately, it’s not for everyone because it’s either too time-consuming or difficult or even both. As such, some people choose to undergo plastic surgery, which can be a much easier, quicker road to a leaner body.
Remove, Restructure, Reshape – Through an aesthetic procedure, you can readily decide what you’d like to remove, restructure or reshape. Compared to watching what you eat and sweating out at the gym, which takes time and repetition before you get your wanted results, cosmetic surgery can transform your body and overall appearance in a very short period. And this is not just for the overweight. Cosmetic surgery may also benefit those who want to shed off a few extra pounds here and there, and those who are not happy with a specific body part—crooked nose, small breasts, etc.
Improve Self-confidence – People with severe body issues often have low self-esteem. Cosmetic plastic surgery can address these problems and achieve your desired figure or look. Consequently, it can help boost your confidence and even improve your overall quality of life.
Sure, cosmetic surgery is quite extreme, but its results can be impressive. But like any operation, cosmetic plastic surgery requires careful consideration, as its results are permanent and there are risks associated with any surgical procedure. It is therefore vital that you discuss any proposed procedure with an experienced, fully accredited cosmetic plastic surgeon. At Landauer Cosmetic Surgery, all of our surgeons are members of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), working in high quality private hospitals.

This four-part series on Channel 4, cuts right to the edge showing some very unsightly bodies which have had botched surgery and the marketing hype adopted by some companies to clinch the deal with getting new patients on board.

As summer time approaches and the layers of clothing start to be peeled back, the question arises every year with so many women….. Do I need breast implants??
There are still very conflicting feelings when it comes to women and their views on breast augmentation. Some people feel cosmetic breast surgery is just pure vanity, whilst others may deem it to be a necessity to gain that self- fulfilled and confident look that every woman needs.

So, what are the main questions for those ladies that are potentially interested in having breast implant surgery and do they get the advice needed to make their choice?
Regulations needed for cosmetic surgery
November 22nd, 2009
Over the past week several newspapers have reported the lack of regulation in some areas of the cosmetic surgery industry.

The president of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons Nigel Mercer had voiced his views as part of a series of medical articles on cosmetic surgery. Mr Mercer has said there is a need for tighter regulation and testing of drugs, procedures and implants to offer more protection to patients.
Stiff marketing, cost cutting and increasing media hype have created a worrying cocktail that threatens both patients and practitioners. There is a bigger need than ever before to ensure surgery is to be carried out by an experienced and accredited surgeon and with a reputable and ethical cosmetic surgery company.
