Plastic surgery for two or couples cosmetic surgery is rapidly becoming a trend lately. Gone are the days when wives or husbands wouldn’t admit that they had some “work” done. Today, more and more couples are going under the knife together, with high hopes of growing younger together.
This phenomenon is partly because of the increase in men undergoing cosmetic treatments and other non-invasive aesthetic procedures. Apparently, men are now more open to plastic surgery, seeing it mostly for its health purposes—not only beauty.
Couples go for joint cosmetic procedures for various reasons. Some simply want to look their best on their wedding day or anniversary. Many perform surgeries in tandem to appear “matching” in beauty, age and overall appearance. In short, one partner does not want to look considerably older than the other. And a lot of lovebirds are even inspired by celebrity couples like the Beckhams, Posh and David, who are known to be huge fans of cosmetic surgery.
Some of the popular dual cosmetic treatments are Blepharoplasty (eye lift surgery) for men or liposuction simultaneously performed while their wives/girlfriends have face lifts or breast augmentation. For minimally invasive anti-aging procedures, couples usually go for Botox shots, dermal fillers, chemical peels and laser treatments.
When planning for dual plastic surgery treatments, couples must try to complement both their objectives, as well as the required recovery period. Of course, a board-certified cosmetic surgeon is the best and safest option for pairs seeking dual procedures. Choose your doctor wisely, as plastic surgery is a major, life-changing decision for you and your partner.

Unlike other celebs who constantly deny resorting to the knife, the British reality TV actress, Chloe Sims, is very candid and proud about her cosmetic surgery procedures. In fact, she shares with her The Only Way Is Essex fans that she has undergone a few. According to her, she regularly gets Botox shots and lip injections. The stunning mom of three also has breast implants, sporting a 34EE bust line.
Apparently, some of her friends in school and some fans used to tease her about her looks, which caused her to be even more insecure. She then opted for cosmetic treatments to improve her appearance and boost her self-confidence. Moreover, she wanted a make-over after giving birth.
Just recently, the 30-year-old Chloe Sims has been flirting with the idea of getting bottom implants. And not just any bottom at that. She wants something that resembles the full, plump rear of American rapper, Nicki Minaj. While it’s possible to have bigger, spank-worthy buttocks, her plastic surgeon warned her that she wouldn’t be able to sit for two weeks if she were to have buttocks enhancement. She would have to sleep sideways or on her front, as sitting down may risk dislocating the implants.
Whether she would pursue it or not, only Chloe knows. The possibility is high, though, because she loves cosmetic surgery so much. And she even mentioned before that she would continue having some work done until such time she’s totally happy with her body.

The cosmetic plastic surgery industry has greatly improved over the years. Unfortunately, there are still some cases where a cosmetic treatment becomes a disaster. However, these cosmetic surgery nightmares and malpractices can be easily prevented with a little legwork on your part. Here are some bad plastic surgery prevention tips:
Dig, investigate, research – Now is the right time to show the detective in you! And the Internet is your best tool to find out information about various cosmetic treatments. Familiarise yourself about the particular operation you’re interested in so that you’re well-informed when you discuss it with your surgeon.
Solicit referrals – The best referrals are those that come from friends and loved ones who have undergone the treatment that you want. You may also ask your family doctor, including references of the plastic surgeon’s works.
Authenticate credentials – Verify your surgeon’s documents and qualifications before saying yes to any of his/her services. Ask about board certification, number of experience and number of times he/she has done the treatment that you want. These information would help you decipher whether or not this doctor is truly legit and skilled. In the UK, look for consultants who are members of BAAPS and BAPRAS.
Get pre-examined – Medical exam before a cosmetic procedure is required to ensure you’re fit to undergo surgery. This would also determine if you have health problems like diabetes, heart disease, smoking habit, which may complicate the operation.
Don’t be a cheapskate – Price is undoubtedly a determining factor for most patients. However, you shouldn’t go for a particular doctor or service just because it’s the cheapest in town. Otherwise, you just might get what you pay for—cheap and poor-quality plastic surgery! So be very wary of plastic surgery clinics offering rock-bottom prices, discount coupons and the likes that are too good to be true.
Remember to choose your doctor wisely and refer to these tips above to steer clear of plastic surgery mishaps, horror stories and malpractices.

Of course, plastic surgery is performed mainly for aesthetic purposes. However, it’s similar to any major operation that requires proper recovery to get the best results and avoid any complications. Many patients hate waiting a long time to enjoy his/her new and improved body. To help you out, here are tips to recover quickly after a cosmetic procedure:
Make a recovery program/plan with your plastic surgeon – Ask your doctor about necessary precautions and expectations during post-surgery. Be sure to follow his/her recommendations regarding medication, diet and exercise, including other essential things you need to do after your operation. Doing so definitely helps expedite the healing process while also preventing potential health threats.
Get tons of R&R (rest and relaxation) – To ensure faster recovery, you need to rest fully before returning to your daily activities. It’s best to take a vacation leave from work and other tasks so that your body can get the rest it needs to completely recuperate. Just relax and avoid any strenuous tasks while you’re recovering. Since cosmetic surgery can be quite painful during the early post-op phase, it’s a must to have someone to assist you during the first 24-72 hours.
Eat wholesome food – To recover faster after undergoing plastic surgery, you should practice healthy eating. Proper nutrition strengthens your immune system, which is crucial in battling infection and promoting speedy healing. If you lost appetite like most people do after an operation, just load up on soft foods like soups, rice, oatmeal, mashed potato, fruits and vegetables. Drinking lots of fluids also helps speedy healing, so be sure to drink plenty of water and fresh fruit juices.
Recovery time/process depends on the type of cosmetic treatment, intensity of the operation, and many other factors. And while this stage can be daunting, just keep in mind that your body needs to fully recuperate to prevent complications and achieve the most positive results.
