Teachers choose summer for surgical procedures
I read a report stating that teachers are most likely to undergo cosmetic surgery during the summer, which makes complete sense. Although plastic surgery recovery times can be fairly short, the weeks immediately after some surgeries can be utterly exhausting and having some time to yourself in order to relax, rest and recover is strongly recommended.
So, it’s not particularly surprising to hear that teachers choose summertime to undergo cosmetic treatment – with week after week of holiday time between the end of one school year and the beginning of the next, it’s the perfect time to get that procedure out of the way and enjoy being fully recovered before the new term starts.
That way, teachers can also get treatments like rhinoplasties, face lifts and other types of facial surgery that need time for bruising and swelling on the face to reduce without having to worry about any unwanted comments or questions from pupils.
Even if they’re going for something less immediately visible, like breast surgery which can take some time for the effects to fully transpire, the first few weeks following surgery can be spent recuperating properly before a return to the classroom – because that’s probably the last thing anybody would want to do post-surgery!
It’s a lucky thing for teachers that they can make the most of an uninterrupted, long holiday every year in the summer – in fact, it’s a pity more of us don’t get the same kind of benefit! I’m sure many people would love to utilise that time in a variety of ways – possibly some of them surgery related, if these stats are anything to go by.
